It's about making a positive impact on our planet while giving your home a unique and personal touch. Check out our DIY examples and discover how you can create beautiful new furniture pieces with a little creativity and skill.
DIY INSPIRATION: ISABEL CABINET
Nathalie of the Instagram account @nathalie.thehomeofacitymom painted the WOOOD Isabel cabinet in a different colour + added different handles.
"I wanted to give our current WOOOD cupboard a totally different look so that this piece of furniture blends beautifully with the rest of the interior again. So I painted the cabinet in a different colour + applied different handles resulting in a successful DIY project! I first lightly sanded the cabinet to then paint it with a brush and roll over it as a finishing touch for a smooth effect.''
DIY INSPIRATION: BANCO OUTDOOR SOFA
Iris from the Instagram account @iris.1989 painted the base of the WOOOD Banco outdoor sofa with a weather-resistant metal paint and stained the wood.
''I wanted to give the Banco outdoor sofa fromt the WOOOD collection a fresh new look, with a nice colour of stain and weather-resistant metal paint in a pastel shade I set to work. The result is a totally new bench that fits perfectly into our garden!''
UPCYCLE FIONA ARTWORKS
Upcycling is a sustainable way of giving your items a new life. One of our stylists gave the artwork Fiona from the WOOOD Exclusive collection a good makeover and a unique, individual style.
"These days, we don't have to be so afraid of using colour in the home, but that doesn't mean you should immediately replace all tonal home accessories with new ones. The upcycling of the Fiona artworks is a good example of this. For example, for an exciting, bright colour addition, I painted the frame and the inner surface a nice, bright fuchsia and chose two shades of green for a nice depth effect on the other Fiona. Perfect for subtly adding that trending explosion of colour into your interior!"
