Bring calm to a busy wall

A large storage wall doesn’t have to feel heavy or overcrowded. The secret? Repetition and balance. Choose a number of elements that work well together in terms of material and shape, and repeat them across the wall.

Build consists of four elements that can be combined side by side. By alternating wider and narrower cabinets, you can adapt the layout to your space without losing a sense of unity. All elements are 215 cm high, allowing Build to make the most of the height of the room and giving you a clear idea of how the storage wall will look in your living room.

Have a wide wall? Then don’t be afraid to give your storage wall some volume. On a narrower wall, a more compact combination can work better. You don’t always need to fill an entire wall.

Open or closed? The combination makes the difference

A wall filled entirely with closed doors can feel a little heavy, while a wall of open compartments can quickly look busy. The key is to find the right balance between the two.

Keep practical items neatly tucked away behind closed doors and use the open compartments for pieces you want to show off. Think ceramics, books, a beautiful vase or treasured finds. It also helps to leave a few compartments more open and uncluttered. This gives the cabinet some breathing space and allows your favourite pieces to really stand out.

Give your TV a place in your storage wall

A television can take up quite a bit of space on the wall. Instead of placing the screen on its own, incorporate it into your storage wall for a more cohesive look. The tall TV unit from Build gives your television a dedicated spot and, together with the other elements, creates one calm and cohesive wall.

For example, place narrower cabinets next to the TV unit and add open compartments for your favourite home accessories. This way, the TV becomes part of your interior rather than the focal point.

Natural or brown: which look suits you?

When it comes to a large storage wall, colour plays an important role. Build is available in two oak-effect finishes: natural and brown. Natural creates a light and calm base, while brown adds warmth and depth to the room.
