The Ayous used for this series is FSC certified wood and therefore comes from well-managed forests. Because Ayous wood has an open cell structure, it can be perfectly thermally preserved by means of steam or heat treatment without using chemicals.DimensionsThis stylish garden bench has a total height of 78 cm, width of 132 cm and depth of 82 cm. The seat height is 41 cm and the seat depth is 34 cm, making the Banco garden bench very comfortable. The backrest is 46 cm from the seat and thus offers fine support. The robust woodwork has a thickness of just over 4 cm. The metal base is 5 cm wide and is slightly protruding at the rear for a firm balance. The space between the legs is 110 cm.MaintenanceThis tropical type of wood is heated to 215° Celsius. Because of the "baking", Thermo Ayous is more resistant to moisture, exceptionally stable and will remain maintenance-free for years (Durability Class I). After Thermo Ayous wood has been thermally treated, it has a beautiful modern and warm look and changes by weather influences to gradually turn grey (just like tropical hardwood).
